Sweet & sour coleslaw
Ingredients
2 packages chopped cabbage
2 onions, diced
1 cup sugar
1 cup vinegar
½ cup vegetable oil
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. celery seed
1 tsp. dry mustard
Instructions
- Mix chopped cabbage and diced onion in a large bowl.
- Sprinkle sugar on surface of cabbage and onion mixture. Don’t stir.
- In a sauce pan, mix remaining ingredients (vinegar, vegetable oil, salt, celery seed, dry mustard). Bring to a boil. Pour over top of slaw. Don’t stir.
- Let sit overnight on the counter, not in the fridge. Then stir and serve. Refrigerate after serving.
